A Business Development Co-ordinator is urgently required by one of our
largest clients. The Business Development Co-ordinator will be based in
Solihull working within our clients Defence Team. You will be
supporting the Business Development activities, to ensure adherence to the
business development strategy and business plan for the Defence business
unit.
Managing a range of bidding, marketing and
communication activities on a week to week basis establishing priorities for
these activities and periodically reporting progress as per pre agreed
timescales and budgets to the BDM. Liaising with external service providers and
internal departments e.g. Head Office communications and graphics
teams.
Accountabilities:
Providing technical and administrative support to bid teams, under the
direction of the relevant bid manager. This includes liaison with Marketing
Support, organising conferences and meetings, managing the information return
programme. Implement effective administrative and document control procedures,
including electronic and paper filing systems for bids.
Provide technical and administrative support to development and
proposals teams under the direction of the BDM. Implement effective
administrative and document control procedures, including electronic and paper
filing systems for proposals.
Research, establish and maintain the library of DE publications and
documentation in the Solihull office.
Maintain and manage the Defence account management plan and the Defence
content on the clients Business Development Workspace.
Generation of presentation materials, slides, photographs, brochures,
and exhibition display stands. In conjunction with Marketing Support and the
Project Teams, manage the creation of project data sheets, generation of
photographs, obtaining client permissions, liaising with the Comms teams and
Graphics teams to format, review and publish materials. Managing the photo
library, including the selection of external photographer, contacting clients to
request permission, arranging for the photographer to visit sites, maintaining
the library of photographs.
Responsible for monitoring and reviewing the Defence Contracts Journal
and other sources for OJEU notices and highlighting opportunities. Ensure that
the business unit receives all relevant press cuttings and other
information.
As a minimum you will need:
·Further education qualification in
management/marketing/communications
·At least 2 years experience in marketing,
sales or communications
·Significant experience in preparing
PowerPoint presentations, Databases, Excel spreadsheets
·Excellent communication skills with
colleagues, clients and consultants at all levels
·Must be able to work
independently and manage and prioritise workload
·Experience organising corporate
events
·Excellent administrative and organisational
skills
·Ability to monitor budget for events,
promotional materials etc.
