THE COMPANY
Leading the way in the manufacture of rectangular connectors, this company have achieved enviable double digit growth whilst maintaining high levels of profit. They have been manufacturing cable assemblies and connectors for the MoD or Tier 1 companies such as Thales, General Dynamics, Ultra and BAe.
THE ROLE
As a Business Development Manager, you will be: -Starting with a blank sheet of paper -90% field based. Proactively hunting for new business across the UK and Europe -Contacting customers such as MBDA, Ultra, BAe, Airbus, Raytheon and Thales -Identifying key decision makers in the customer base, discussing their requirements before providing a bespoke solution -Closing off large orders
THE CANDIDATE
This Business Development Manager must have: -3-4 years technical sales experience to the defence sector: MoD, Tier 1 or Tier 2 -Experience in selling connectors and/or cable assemblies -Ability to work autonomously to develop this role to its full potential -Ability and commitment to building and developing client relationships -Good listening communication skills -Confidence and the ability to present well to customers
