My Client provides Document Management & Print solutions.

They currently have a requirement for a New Business Development Manager.

DMS (Document Management Services) Business Development Manager
Responsible to:
Managed Services Director

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday hours as required

The role:

You will identify HIGH VALUE /contracted scanning, storage and retrieval (DMS) business opportunities within prospective accounts and the current customer base.
You will sell the range of services offered at any given time.
PRESENT UNIQUE SELLING POINTS AT BOARD LEVEL in competition with major Document Management competitors.
Secure and Account Manage DMS Business contracts, in line with agreed strategic objectives
and financial targets
Support the Managed Services Director, in planning and achieving the company objectives
Work alongside the Managed Services BDM Team, cross selling other services

Main Accountabilities:

Selection of target/prospects, based on knowledge and practical selection criteria
Detailed profiling of target accounts, based on initial exploratory visits
Maintenance of a pipeline of suspects and prospects including a short list of priorities
Establishment and maintenance of all "suspects" and "prospects" information on the Company-
wide customer development database
For individual prospective companies, the identification of the steps in decision making process
and of the key players involved

Identification of the potential needs and motivation for DMS within each target account
Establishment and maintenance of high level contacts within the customer who are capable of
authorising high value financial agreements - Relationship building.
Analysis of customers' current systems and methods, including the conduct and management of
customer document handling surveys.
Assistance to the customer in developing the internal specification.
Response to tender process in such a way to demonstrate competitive advantage of working with
the company.

Working in conjunction with Central resources in designing service based proposals
Demonstration of company's products/systems capabilities.
Development of needs-based proposals.
Presentation of proposals to multi-level, multi-functioning audiences and handling of subsequent
queries and objections




Negotiating with:

Customers/Prospects
Working with National Implementation Managers and DMS Operations prior and during initial
implementation / installation


Additional Accountabilities:

To achieve set targets on DMS
To support all company personnel in closing DMS opportunities
To support all Managed Services Division personnel in achieving contracts
Submit formal reports monthly
To review quarterly existing contracts
Areas of responsibility as specified by the Managed Services Director

Job Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

Excellent sales experience within document management solutions.
ABILITY TO NEGOTIATE AT A HIGH LEVEL IS A MUST!!!
Excellent Interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to Project Manage and delegate
Ability to motivate
Proven sales ability
Good presentational skills
IT literate
Understanding of P & L Reports
Highly literate and numerate
