An understanding of NHS commissioning is essential, whether you have worked as a Commissioning Manager for an NHS Trust, or developed relationships with Commissioning staff within NHS Trusts. Clinical experience would be beneficial, perhaps covering areas such as service redesign or service provision.
This role will involve new business generation, market research, competitor analysis, contract negotiation, account management, and market and product development - to be suitable you will need to have significant experience in roles covering sales, marketing, and business development.
I have a requirement for a Business Development Manager to be based in the North of England and one to be based in the Midlands - travel will be involved in both roles so you must be flexible in this respect. The salary and package will depend on your experience but is likely to be £50,000-75,000 along with car allowance and bonus.
