A leading National Accountancy firm is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team in London. The main focus of this role is to assist partners in winning business from new and existing clients, to introduce the services of the firm, through interacting directly with potential new clients and maximising networking opportunities.

The firm is ideally looking for a candidate with previous industry experience who is able to hit the ground running and is also willing to roll up their sleeves and work alongside the rest of the team in strengthening the firms business development function as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for bid management – you will be the cornerstone of the sales team, project managing tenders for your partner group through to debrief on conclusion.
  • To manage the telemarketing agency.
  • To be responsible for lead management – from initial appointment through to meeting follow-up
  • To manage and maximise the target list – working with the other Business Development specialists to ensure campaigns are shared.
  • To coach partners on business development best practice such as proposal writing, presentation skills, personal selling and targeting programmes.
  • To work with the other Business Development specialists to develop new processes and tools that help the efficiency of the firm’s approach to business and client development and ensure a co-ordinated approach to all activity.
  • Reporting into another Business Development Manager and working closely with the other BD managers to ensure a co-ordinated approach to all activity.
  • As part of the London marketing team you will be required to work on ad-hoc London Marketing projects.
  • To attend staff meetings and training as required
  • To maintain an awareness and observation of Health and Safety issues within the Firm, and report any concerns to the Health and Safety Representative.
  • To carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the role and its grading, as requested by the line manager or Head of Department.

Person

·CIM qualification

·Degree educated

·Proven Business Development experience – this should entail hands on experience of managing and developing a sales pipeline, managing the pitch process, coaching the bid team, managing leads and target lists.

·Previous experience within a Professional Services firm, ideally accountancy.
