Business Development Manager, Enterprise Software - Mining Industry

Based in London, England but with extensive international travel, our client, developers of world-class geo-modeling and mine planning software is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to grow software sales across Europe and North Africa.

You may have a background in Earth Sciences, Marketing or Business Development with experience of complex, enterprise software applications that could include ERP, MRP or even heavy asset and work management solutions. You’ll be the type of person that can adapt, assimilate and get ‘their head around’ the mining industry and where the benefits of software automation can be realised.

This is an important new, senior, salaried position within the Company and the role reports directly into the President and the Chief Operating Officer.

The Business Development Manager will be expected to expand the market base by reaching new customers with the support of marketing, sales, client relations and customer support departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate and action all sales and marketing initiatives (including advertising)
  • Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products
  • Analyse customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
  • Execute sales and marketing plans and projects for new and existing products
  • Ensure the sales and marketing plans deliver the required results
  • Monitor, review and report on all sales and marketing activity and results
  • Liaise with territory media and advertising entities

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred.OR
  • Degree in Earth Sciences with experience in business development
  • Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining sales and marketing strategies
  • Technical marketing skills along with proven experience in customer and market research
  • Experience with relevant software applications such as Word, Excel etc.Knowledge and experience with CRM software

Remuneration

  • Basic salary - £100 to £125,000 based on experience
  • Management bonus - 10 to 15% of base salary
  • Pension- Graduated employer contribution based on length of service (3 to 10%)
  • Private health - Family
