Business Development Manager, Warrington, to £65k + package
Our client is one of the largest retail contractors in the UK. Its teams of highly engaged employees provide top quality design, construction, fit-out and related services to major high street retailers, supermarkets, department stores and out of-town traders across the UK. They work with a wide range of customers including Boots, John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, Sainsburys and Tesco.
The Role
This newly created position will be working within their successful retail division, which despite the current market conditions is still experiencing growth and excellent annual profits.
As a Business Development Manager, you will assist the Business Manager in building a new Leisure division within the retail business. The role will be focused on generating and securing profitable opportunities through building successful relationships with many of the UK's leading clients within the leisure market. The company as a whole already has excellent live contacts with numerous major players in this market and naturally introduction will be made in order to help the business grow.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
1. Generate business opportunities to support the MP
2. Prepare and contribute to PQQs and tender documents
3. Ensure documents produced are in accordance with current presentational style and content
4. Participate in feedback meetings with management team on selected business unit and key account activities
5. Participate in regular business development meetings to suit business unit needs
6. Manage and organise PR & promotional activity in accordance with the MP and SCM plan
7. Assist and occasionally lead bid teams in creating and delivering profitable opportunities
8. Positively promote the importance of customer feedback
9. Organise business development activity within budgets
This role will be based out of the Warrington office although this will be a national role and flexibility over work location will be considered.
