BUSINESS MANAGER - RAIL
ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY

Due to an increasing rail portfolio our client is seeking a skilled and highly motivated individual to support continued growth. We are looking for an experienced rail professional with a good understanding of the rail industry who can help to drive the further development of the rail business. The Business Manager role requires an individual with an excellent commercial awareness as well as the ability to promote the skills and capabilities of the business.
To succeed as Business Manager ? Rail, you will ideally be degree qualified or with equivalent relevant experience and must have an excellent understanding of the rail industry, including rolling stock and infrastructure, with the ability to align corporate objectives and technical skills to meet industry requirements. You must have good project management discipline, the ability to interpret clients technical needs, experience of preparation of proposals and experience of technical leadership on projects.
As Business Manager you should also have proven ability to develop marketing campaign plans, experience of developing client relationships an understanding of safety management, RAMs, mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines as well as commercial awareness with the ability to make commercial decisions to meet the aspirations of the clients and the business.
This role requires SC Clearance so you must be either a British Citizen who has been living in the UK for the last 3 years minimum or of another nationality who has been living in the UK continuously for the last 5 years minimum.
