About the role
We have an exciting role for a Business Systems Analyst to join us to support the business in a range of areas by performing detailed analysis of business requirements and making recommendations and specifications for new or enhanced IT systems (or services) to achieve required outcomes.
The role of Business Systems Analyst has Group responsibilities (Bristol/London/ROW).Candidates will therefore need to be prepared to travel, internationally, if required.Certain projects which stretch across London and Bristol may require regular travel to London for a defined time period.
Applicants should:
·be of graduate caliber
·have gained broad experience of working across a variety of business areas
·possess a thorough understanding of IT systems and functions ideally gained from working on business change projects with an IT focus
·demonstrate sound knowledge of IT design methodologies and business improvement tools (process mapping, re-engineering, gap analysis…)
·possess the necessary gravitas and consultancy skills to act as an “internal consultant” across the business
The Business Systems Analyst’s responsibilities will include:
-using a wide range of elicitation techniques to capture business requirements
-translating these into unambiguous terms for detailed analysis
-validating these against strategic initiatives and operational needs
-applying cost/benefit analysis to make recommendations and obtain budget approval
-working to achieve the consolidation, reuse or integration of existing or new applications
-managing a team of project managers
-due diligence reporting and acquisition integration
To be considered for this role, candidates will have a track record of leading and managing projects with previous experience of drawing on input from and managing relationships with internal and external parties. Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills must be combined with excellent communication skills (relationship building, negotiation, influencing and presentation skills) as well as acute business acumen.Working largely unsupervised, candidates will also need to demonstrate initiative and self-sufficiency.
