Physics Programmer based in the South East. Skills to include: C++, STL, Design Patterns, Physics, PS3, XBox, Wii
I am looking for a Physics Software Engineer who has got proven experience within games industry to work for a company based in the South East of England.
The ideal candidate will work on implementing the physics support for all platforms (PS3/360/PC) in accordance with the Game Design specification. This will typically involve translation of the requirements into physics features that impact on aspects of game development and gameplay. The Engineer will aim to work closely with all members of the Game Development Team to help to identify and implement a useful and worthwhile feature set.
Required Skills:
·You must have strong background in programming, ideally relating to video game development.
·Strong C++ programming with exposure to design patterns, STL and solid engineering techniques
·Good experience of physics for PS3 and Xbox360. Knowledge of Physics for PC, Wii and other platforms are highly desirable.
·It is ideal to see someone with at least one published title where you have worked on Physics and video games. Of particular interest is commercial experience with Vehicle-based physics and physics simulations.
You must have excellent communication skills to adapt the whole of technical and non-technical environment. There will be a good opportunity for career progression.
