Senior Software Engineer now required by leading authority and innovator in the field of digital content delivery over the Internet. Applicants must have strong knowledge of the complete software development life cycle, and strong C++ and or Python programming abilities with excellent knowledge of Linux, Network systems development and internet core protocols, Data structure and algorithm design and implementation, Web services and/or web application design and implementation
It would also be desirable to have knowledge of developing SNMP or other network management infrastructures, Perl, RDBMS and nosql data stores and source control (perforce, subversion, cvs).
Suitable applicants will be able to work as part of a team whilst taking ownership for a significant part of the team's output, able to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic start-up environment and be able and willing to help other team members when necessary and be appreciative of the need for a methodical approach to the production and maintenance of complex software products.
