This senior software development ( C/C++) role is within our Cambridge based client's software tools group that is tasked with designing, extending and maintaining the companies suite of software tools. These tools are utilised both internally amongst other engineering goups and externally by their extensive customer list.
The successful candidate will join this team at Senior Software Engineer level and will be responsible for the development of cross platform tools employed to configure, program and test my clients range of wireless communication devices.
Candidates will be degree qualified and have excellent coding skills in C/C++ with windows development skills using MFC, .NET, etc. In addition they are seeking knowledge of portability issues between operating systems, processors and compilers.
Any of the following would be an advantage
* Knowledge of wireless standards.
* Knowledge of protocol stacks and PC peripheral interfaces (RS232, USB, PCI, PCIe etc)
* Perl, Python and TCL, Microsoft Visual Studio and gdb.
* Experience of remote debugging embedded devices.
* Familiarity with more than one operating system; Win32, WinCE, Linux.
