Our client, a global asset manager, is recruiting for a CFO - Real Estate Fund Accounting. Based in the London office you will have oversight of the entire European Real Estate finance function. With clients ranging from individual investors to global institutions the business is at the forefront of asset management, which has led them to owning real estate throughout Europe in a variety of ownership structures, and consequently making them a dynamic group to work for. With overall management of the European Real Estate Finance and Tax team you will not only be expected to maintain the financial infrastructure but to also develop it in such a way that allows for maximum flexibility and efficiency. You will ideally have experience in managing local operators, as part of the role involves ensuring that the local accounting teams' systems are properly controlled and audited from time to time. Due to the cross-border nature of the role, the successful candidate will have knowledge of currency implications and their correct accounting treatment along with any country issues relating to Real Estate and fund level accounting. Strong IT skills are a must and the preferred candidate will have knowledge of a known property system such as MRI, Argus or Yardi.
