POSITION :COMMERCIAL MANAGER/QUANTITY SURVEYOR
THE COMPANY:The company is a medium sized fit-out company, which specialises in partitions, ceilings, drylining and fire protection.
The company is based in North East London. Its projects are predominately in Central London and the Home Counties.
The Company prides itself as being dynamic and successful, whilst keeping wellbeing and friendships as high priorities.
THE POST:Commercial Management – The company is looking for a quantity surveyor who can manage financial and contractual aspects of our projects.
The candidate should have experience and qualifications appropriate to their age and service.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: The candidate should have knowledge and experience in all of the following:
- Management of contract final accounts, including valuations and variations.
- Various forms of contract; operation of key clauses.
- Subcontracts: procurement and management of subcontractor accounts.
- Materials buying.
- Cost control.
- IT; competency with Excel spreadsheets is essential.
The candidate may also have useful experience with:
- Estimating & contract negotiation.
- Management of projects, other staff and operatives.
- Negotiation and settlement of final accounts.
- Recovery of additional costs (loss & expense).
- Cost/value reconciliation/reporting.
- Avoidance/resolution of disputes.
