COMPLIANCE TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

Job Description:

Our client is actively seeking an experienced Compliance professional to provide and maintain an appropriate level of functional and technical expertise; within our clients Corporate Pensions proposition.Additional responsibilities will include: -

-Resolving complex issues using industry and business awareness.

-Representing Sales in relevant Product Development meetings, giving input into requirements and leading initiatives.

-Sharing technical knowledge, ensuring successful scheme implementation.

-Planning, day to day customer queries and proposition improvement.

-Influencing and actively participating in our clients Corporate Pensions Development Group.

-Providing input on pensions and other product related law and regulation.

-Interpreting and embedding regulatory change into current and developing processes.

-Seeking feedback from the Employee Benefits Consultants, ensuring that all input provided is solutions and commercially oriented and will pass Compliance, FSA and Revenue audit.

-Reviewing and maintaining a Services in line with market expectations and the Corporate Pensions market proposition.

-Establishing and maintaining working relationships with other business areas to ensure delivery on key strategic dependencies.

-Ensuring that all Corporate Pensions promotional material and literature meets FSA and other promotional rules and brand guidelines.

The Person:

-Relevant business experience and/or project management qualification.

-FPC or equivalent qualified.

-Excellent knowledge of the compliance framework.

-Ability to understand, interpret and translate customer requirements into deliverables.

-Good understanding of Defined Contribution pensions and current pension issues.

-High degree of knowledge of project management methodologies.

-Balance of people and technical skills.

-Analysis of law and FSA regulation and the application of this knowledge base, to give commercially oriented proposals and solutions.

-Excellent planning and organisational skills.

-Strong problem-solving, decision-making and judgement skills.

-Effective use of project management tools and techniques.

-Customer relationship skills.

-Analytically minded and the ability to lead and implement change.

-Strong influencing skills.

-Ability to cope with fast moving environment with varying workloads and pressures.

-Listens and communicates proactively.

Salary:

-A competitive basic Salary paying circa £32,000 depending on skills and experience.
