GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To analyse business opportunities, assess the feasibility and accurately evaluate the profitability.
To oversee the day to day operation of Company contracts, including the set-up of key reports as required by either the client or the senior management team.

To ensure that the Company contracts are properly resourced to ensure that business objectives are achieved at minimal cost.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure efficient and effective utilisation of resources at minimal cost, maximising Company profit.
Consistently maintaining reports on KPIs, whilst updating and developing new reports, as required.
Liaise appropriately with clients to ensure contractual obligations are met and continued satisfaction.
Continually develop and monitor procedures and processes, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Work with staff to achieves objectives as agreed with the Managing Director and/or management team.
If objectives are not met take remedial action as required and as agreed with the Managing Director.
Report all areas of operational concern to the Managing Director, as appropriate.
Perform all duties in a professional and effective manner, to encourage the same staff performance.
Ensure consistently appropriate staff resourcing, with the assistance of the management team and HR.
Ensure effective staff training as required by the needs of the business, the management team and HR.
Ensure all employees are inducted, in accordance with the Company Induction Policy and Procedure.
Manage and lead staff so they are resourced, motivated and trained to fulfil their duties as required.
Manage and report staff holiday entitlement as required, maintaining consistently sufficient staff levels.
Liaise with appropriate internal dept's to ensure that Company statutory obligations are met as required.
Ensure Company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures are followed, seeking assistance as required.
Ensure Company HR Policies and Procedures are followed, seeking assistance as required.
Any other duties as required by the Managing Director or the management team.


SERVICE QUALITY
To promote and maintain the Company image, procedures and standards, as set by management.


ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out and initiate projects as and when requested by management



MAIN WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Reporting directly to the Managing Director.
Managing a team of staff.
Working closely with clients, external bodies and internal departments as required.


PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience of managing Drivers and Transport Operators.
Experience of managing multi-drop sites.
A CPC holder.
Ability to meet deadlines that have been agreed with management.
Ability to produce, manage, maintain and meet budgets, as agreed with management.
Ability to produce strategic management reports as required by management.
Ability to identify and implement improvements in efficiency, service levels and cost savings.
Profit motivated.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with all levels of staff.
Ability to motivate and develop staff, to obtain maximum commitment and performance.
Ability to be decisive and objective in all matters.
To be innovative.
An excellent team-player.
Demonstrably strong and effective leadership and motivation skills.
Computer Literate.
A flexible attitude in responding positively to the demands of changing business opportunities.
