Proactive Personnel are proud to be representing this market leading packaging manufacturer in their search for a CONVERSION MANAGER. The business has grown to become one of Europe’s leading packaging manufacturers with big plans for the future.
This position will be based at our client’s prestigious manufacturing facility within the North West area within easy commuting distance of the major cities.
THE CONVERSION MANAGER
This is an exciting and very challenging role that has come about due to a large investment at the company’s ‘Signature’ manufacturing site.
You will be responsible fororganising and controlling the different human and technical resources in the converting section of the business to achieve productivity, quality and waste objectives, with the minimum cost and respecting safety and environment regulations.
Your key responsibilities will be:
·To organise the people and their training
·To ensure the Health and Safety of the workforce and to respect environmental procedures
·To review productivity and key performance indicators under his/her responsibility on a daily basis
·To manage the business improvement program to sustain good practices in his/her area.
·To supervise corrective maintenance actions and to co-ordinate with the engineering section
THE SUCCESSFUL CONVERSION MANAGER
Due to the high profile nature of this role and the tasks required, the successful candidate will need to be a strong people manager and decision maker with good coaching, interpersonal and communication skills. You will be highly self motivated and self managing; highly driven and will have the ability to develop strategy along with dealing with day to day issues.
We are looking for candidates with:
Essential
·3 / 5 years experience in charge of production teams
·A good understanding of machine and industrial equipment
·A good understanding of continuous improvement techniques
·Computer literate when using Microsoft packages
- Environment / Cultural Change management, people development and performance management experience
- Best practice and H & S Management on the full spectrum of this site
- Engineering, Packaging and Lean manufacturing experience
·You need to be educated to degree level or posses equivalent experience
Advantageous
- Efficiency and house keeping of the site is also required so knowledge of clean room or a world class manufacturing site
·The business is currently looking to achieve AIB status so previous experience of this accreditation
- Experience of working within the packaging or paper industries will be a distinct advantage.
In return for your skills and experience:
·Our client is offering a basic salary of up to £43,000 coupled with an excellent package
