We are looking for enthusiastic and confident Healthcare Assistants in Exeter, Exmouth, Honiton, Newton Abbott, and surrounding areas.
We have many positions working with both, adults (Aged 18-65) and the Elderly. As well as regular care home environments, we recruit for services supporting residents with complex needs such as learning disabilities, physical disabilities and Mental Health disabilities including dementia.
Your duties will include:-
o carrying out safe and knowledgeable care as per individual resident care plan.
o Enabling the clients to maintain, as far as possible, an independent varied lifestyle.
o The delivery of care must be consistent and of a high standard, respecting the residents dignity and promoting a maximised quality of life.
Working alone, and as part of a team, you must work efficiently to maintain a smooth running unit; creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. Take an active role in team meetings with the ability to present information both written and oral.
o Demonstrate an ability to develop social relationships,
o providing leisure and recreational activities improving and encouraging communication between residents, relatives and staff.
o Valid Moving and Handling and Food Hygiene certificates are preferred.
o Flexible and be available for work on weekends and evenings.
o An NVQ qualification in a relevant field is preferred, however not essential
