Casualty Claims Handler
Location: Surrey
Salary: £19,000 - £24,500
One of the most highly reputable, prestigious Insurance Companies is seeking a casualty Claims Handler to join their successful Claims Unit. You will be required to provide high quality technical claims service and a first class customer service, and proactively managing a portfolio of Casualty claims.
Responsibilities:
To handle and proactively resolve enquiries from customers and external contacts to deliver a focused efficient and effective claims service
Proactively finalise PL and EL claims within agreed authority levels ensuring settlement at an optimum level
Deliver against agreed team and personal objectives
Contribute to a positive supportive team culture
Take technical referrals from junior colleagues
Skills:
Understanding of legislation and legal liability
Developed skills in investigation of liability, evaluation and negotiation
Good case management skills with use of diary
Progression towards ACII or demonstrable willingness to do the exams
Excellent customer service skills
Be a good communicator, both orally and in writing
