Essential
- A proven track record of Engineering Management within a fast paced food manufacturing
environment
- A comprehensive understanding of maintenance engineering, facilities and utilities management
and project, enabling the delivery of continuous performance improvement plans
- Ability to manage capital projects (quality, cost, time)
- A clear understanding of the manufacturing process affecting quality, service and efficiency
- Ability to influence at Board level
- Excellent written, verbal communication, analytical and numerical skills
Desirable
- Further level Engineering qualifications
The Role
- Responsible for coaching and mentoring the Engineering team into a cohesive and proactive unit
- Managing and controlling expenditure/CAPEX to stay within budget constraints
- Create and maintain an Engineering plan that is integrated with overall Manufacturing strategy,
converting this into performance improvement plans
- Ensure that suitable targets are agreed and that these KPI's are used at all levels throughout the
team to improve business performance
- Maintain efficient service to the business by maximising equipment uptime through effective
planned maintenance and minimum time to repair in the event of equipment failure
