Child Care Lawyer - Solicitor / Barrister
Based: Romford
Pay Scale: £14.00 - £16.25 per hour (negotiable)
Job Profile
Conducting all steps involved in managing own caseload of all types of family proceedings primarily care proceedings but also private law ( section 7/37 , special guardianship ) , adoption etc. from Family Proceedings Court to High Court level to include :
-advice at planning / legal strategy meetings ,
-issuing applications ,
-correspondence ,
-liaising with clients and all parties ,
-drafting all relevant documentation ,
-instructing experts ,
-attending round table meetings
-briefing counsel
-advocacy in court .
Caseload between 8 and 12 Care Proceedings at any one time .
Person Profile
Essential - Solicitor / Barrister / or equivalent in other jurisdiction
- 1 years post qualification experience in child care law
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Efficient
-Reliable
-Good Team worker
-Excellent IT skills
