CLAIMS HANDLER
Our client are looking for an experienced Motor Claims handler to work in their busy office in Cardiff.
Main duties;
- Providing first class customer service
- Deciding on Legal Liability and Policy Liability issues
- Compliance with all regulatory and internal systems controls
- Dealing with all aspects of all classes of motor claims
- Liaising with internal and external service providers
- Reviewing and estimating on current claims files
- Maintaining paper files and computer records in relation to claims
- Handling incoming written and telephone enquiries from policyholder
- Making payments within laid down guidelines
- Understanding of litigation and fraud matters
- Negotiating with claimants and their representatives
Required skills / experience;
- Pro-activeness and the ability to use own initiative
- First class written and verbal communication skills
- Sound judgement
- Experience in handling all aspects of claims
- Strong negotiating skills
- The ability to analyse, evaluate and make logical decisions
- Good organisational skills
- The ability to meet challenging deadlines and department quality and service standards
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English
