Claims Handler
Salary: £Negotiable on Experience
Location: Swansea
A leading Insurance organisation is seeking claims handlers to join a newly formed team dedicated to managing claims and providing the best possible service to policy holders.You will be responsible for managing a mixed caseload of Household, Travel and Personal Accident claims from inception through to settlement.
Responsibilities
Taking the first notification of the claim and establish whether the policy holder has legal grounds to claim on their insurance
Identify and referring any questionable underwriting
Identify any potentially fraudulent areas of the claim
Progressing the claim through to final settlement, and negotiate where required
Deal with incoming post and telephone queries
Consistently provide outstanding customer service, ensuring the claims process is as stress-free as possible for the policy holder
Ensuring that all matters are handled in accordance with the instructions laid down in the Claims Manual and amendments issued to it
Skills
Experience in dealing with Insurance Claims, household and / or Travel & Personal Accident claims experience is preferable
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work within a team environment as well as on own initiative
Well organised and able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
