CORE RESPONSIBILITES:
Reception duties, answering telephone, message taking and conveying appropriate information.
Maintenance of diary, arranging appointments.
General clerical duties such as filing and photocopying.
Preparation of monthly returns.
Deal with correspondence in accordance with appropriate procedures.
Liaison with other agencies and organisations.
Typing of reports, communications and letters as required.
Minute Taking.
Check and process invoices and record appropriate information.
Petty cash.
Stationary requisits.
DESIRBALE QUALIFICATIONS:
35 Words Per Minute.
3 GCSE or equivalent, including English Language.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
None
DESIRBALE EXPERIENCE:
Experience of working in an office environment including typing, filing and use of telephone.
Word processing and office power experience.
Reception duties.
Dealing with the general public.
Basic budget management.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to type.
Ability to work in a busy open office.
Ability to prioritise work and use own initiative.
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to relate to differing needs of families.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Knowledge of financial procedures.
Maintaining accurate records.
Knowledge of Social Service Procedures.
Ability to minute meetings.
An awareness of service users needs.
An ability to be sensitive and patient.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
(FLEXIBLE WORKING HOURS, ROTA WORK, SLEEPING IN ETC)
Duties include contact with Service Users, therefore there is a need to be able to relate to parents and their children.
The appointee is expected to attend work on a regular basis.
