Our client; a major pharmaceutical company is currently seeking a Clinical Statistician to join their offices based in the South East of England for a 6 month contract. There is potential for a 6 month extension in this contract that will specialize in early clinical development. This role has the flexibility to allow candidates to work from home 1-2 days per week.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:
*Providing statistical input to the design of studies
*Write and review the statistical section of the protocol
*Write the statistical analysis plan and arrange the project team review of the plan
*Working with the Clinical Programmer on the data analysis for the study report, following the statistical analysis plan
*Review the programming plan and list of tables and conduct further exploratory analyses unaided
*Writing Top Line Reports on the key efficacy and safety results to give a rapid read out after database lock
*Working with the medical writer on the statistical text for the study report
*Provide general statistical consultancy support to the company's clinical team, particularly on study design and interpretation of results
*Represent clinical statistics at various technical meetings and present work to small groups
*Supporting other statisticians working on pre-clinical studies as required
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
*Experience of clinical studies is essential - Phases 1 and 2 desirable
*Pre-clinical experience would also be an advantage
