Our client is a new rapidly expanding health club operator. They have a new site opening in early 2010 and are looking for a club/gym manager to join their successful management team. The position is a very hands on post and you will be required to carry out inductions and personal training sessions as well as running and managing the facility.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for staff rotas.
- Drive sales and marketing strategies for the site.
- Manage the club within budgetary constraints.
- Responsible for running marketing campaigns for the Gym.
- Responsible in ensuring that all H&S and HR policy and procedures as set out by Peninsula are adhered to and actioned.
- Responsible for the management and allocation of induction slots and spinning classes on The Gym’s website.
- Responsible for ensuring that there is an adequate amount of personal trainers conducting inductions and providing outstanding service to the members.
- Personally conduct member inductions, to ensure that members are able to use the facilities in a safe manner.
- Hold regular staff and personal trainer meetings.
- Ensure that spinning instructors have a recognised certificate to conduct spinning classes, have public liability insurance to a minimum value of two million pounds, hold a current PPL license and hold a current CPR certificate.
The ideal candidate will need to posses a very strong sales orientated health club management background. You must be REPS Level 3 qualified and have previous experience in delivering spinning classes or personal training sessions. You must also posses a minimum of 1 years management experience within a health club environment.
