Kier Asset Partnership Services (KAPS) offers an established focus on local authority asset management. Due to the planned growth of the business we are looking to appoint a talented individual to the role of Commercial Finance Manager, who will play a central role in all commercial aspects of the current business and future expansion of activities.
Requirements
The Commercial Finance Manager will report directly to, and work closely with the Operations Director and be responsible for ensuring financial controls are in place and that the Senior Management Team are kept fully appraised of revenue activity. This role will also be involved in commercial negotiations and give a financial lead to the bid team and advice on the implications of costing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts.
Assist in the preparation, setting and reporting of annual budgets and quarterly updates. Ensure internal accounting procedures are working effectively and efficiently. Provide financial lead to bid team. Business plan production (annual plans) Business case production and evaluation (project by project) Commercial/contract awareness Prepare business cases for new projects both for the council and external work Financial control of the current contract and ensuring operational staff are aware of the workings of the contract Ensure information is available on a timely basis on the revenue earnt and that this is recorded quickly and accurately for invoicing to the client

- MS Office, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Financial modelling in Excel Qualified Accountant Previous Bidding experience(essential). Excellent inter personal and presentation skills Prior facilities management or support services experience would prove advantageous.
