Location: South East England/Home Counties
Salary/Package: £55-60k + benefits package

. A leading UK manufacturer of chilled convenience food products, supplying a wide range of premium quality own label lines products to major Retail & Foodservice customers on a National basis
. Trading for over 25 years they have built a reputation for excellence in product quality and
customer service along with market leading NPD initiatives
. As one of the most successful suppliers in their category, they work closely with
the majority of the UK's major multiples to provide innovative & market leading product solutions
. Due to internal restructure, they are now seeking the appointment of a senior level Commercial Manager to take full responsibility for the organisation's's biggest retail customer
ESSENTIAL
. Current account handling experience of a Top 5 Multiple Retailer
. Extensive experience of working with own-label chilled food or beverage products
. A confident leader who will motivate and develop their customer-focused Commercial & NPD team ensuring account objectives are met on an ongoing basis
. Exceptional negotiating skills
. Current or previous experience managing accounts with £20mil+ annual t/o
DESIRABLE
. Background experience within NPD/extensive knowledge of new product launches
. Food, Marketing or Business related Degree
THE ROLE
. As the Commercial Manager responsible for a major UK retail account you will be responsible for personally handling the company's largest retail customer, with full P&L responsibility
. Responsible for setting and implementing commercial strategy and ensuring account plans are
executed correctly
. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will help to shape and drive the business forward from a
commercial perspective, managing a team of dedicated NPD professionals ands liaising closely with the Technical, Purchasing and Supply Chain departments
. As a business that has clearly defined growth plans for the coming year, our client requires an
ambitious individual with an polished approach, identifying and capitalising on new business
opportunities in a proactive manner
