This market leading retailer are looking for a Commercial Planning Manager to cover either cycling or car enhancements based Redditch
The role of a Commercial Planning Manager will report into the Supply Chain operations Manager. You will be tasked to fully support the Trading teams with relevant information and analysis to help inform better commercial decisions. To hold regular consensus meeting with trading teams and external suppliers to review and update sales and intake plans to manage all aspects of category stock - availability, clearance etc.
Key Responsibilities
·Forecast (with trading team) company sales for own category
·Forecast all intake of stock by category in line with sales forecast and budget
·Propose and agree category stock targets in line with company stock budget
·Recommend and set category OTB with Supply Chain Operations Manager
·Manage and improve forecast accuracy for total category
·Manage stock turn for total category
·Produce timely stock reports and hold regular consensus meetings with category teams and suppliers
·Ensure in store availability in line with category targets
·Manage all elements of category stock and end of line requirements around obsolete and redundant stock
·Influence the decision making process around promotions and range review activities with trading teams
·Agree and manage seasonal stock build and exit plans
·Manage and own category stock profile and influence display requirements with space planning team
·Manage supplier relationships with more regular meetings
You will have a proven track record in retail merchandising or commercial planning. Not afraid to make big decisions, you'll analyse sales data and shape plans that will reduce costs, increase efficiency, maximise sales and create a strong strategic vision for the future.
