Commissioning Assistant required
Faculty of 1000 (www.F1000.com), the award-winning literature evaluation service for the Medical and Life Sciences communities, is looking for a Commissioning Assistant to liaise with top-level research scientists, medics and clinicians.
The role will be based in central London and will involve contacting internationally renowned biological and medical researchers, medics and clinicians through email and over the telephone in order to commission new authors for the service. The successful candidate must be well organised, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, have a knowledge of Microsoft Office, show a high level of accuracy and demonstrate an ability to prioritise whilst working to deadlines.
Candidates should have a natural ability to communicate concepts clearly and enthusiastically. A background in medical or life sciences and experience in a customer-facing role would be an advantage, but are not essential, as aptitude is most important and full training will be provided.
