Location - South East / South West / Midlands
My client is a leading supplier of specialised electro-mechanical systems that are used throughout the UK and Europe. This well respected organisation has been supplying this marketplace for decades, establishing and nurturing long term relationships with a customer base at the forefront of technology.
Following expansion, they seek to recruit a customer focused and highly motivated Electrical / Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, responsible for developing customer relationships and commissioning high value capital equipment in France. The role will involve extensive travel throughout France and some staying away from home - typically this will be up to 2 weeks at a time. You will carry out the commissioning, final testing and validation of these sophisticated PLC-controlled systems and provide full customer training and user documentation.
To apply you should be fluent in French and English and must be based in either the South East, Home Counties, London, South West, Midlands or M1 / M4 Corridors with easy access to an airport. You should have a strong background in the servicing and commissioning of electro-mechanical equipment. You should be multi-skilled with an electrical-bias. You may be qualified with a City & Guilds / HNC / HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics and will be PC literate. You should have experience of fault-finding, repairing and commissioning a wide range of industrial capital equipment including single & 3 electrics, PLCs (Mitsubishi), pneumatics, hydraulics, combustion heaters, motors, gears and general mechanics.
You may currently work in a service or commissioning role, working on a range of high value electro-mechanical capital equipment, or you may be currently working in a maintenance engineer role in a factory or workshop environment.

A starting salary of £24,000 - £28,000 is accompanied by a package which includes company car, overtime, bonus, pension, flights and accommodation, holidays, laptop and phone. The OTE is circa £40,000.
