Work in conjunction with colleagues in the Communications Shared Service Centre and
across the business team to deliver first class internal and external communications
programme delivery to the Business Sector Comms VPs, BPs and Corporate team.
Dependent on skills, either internal or external focus.
Key responsibilities
- To partner with key areas of the business to provide best practice communications
support and advice. To coach and advise these areas on shaping and planning their
communication needs consistent with the Group Corporate and Internal
Communications (IC) strategy.
- To manage and deliver communication projects, ensuring they are defined, planned,
monitored, controlled and delivered such that the agreed benefits are realised to time
and budget.
- Manage events and activities that support the communications objectives of Sector
and regions as required.
- Provide planning and editorial resource to maintain Sector and or Region specific
communications as agreed with them.
- To provide cover for the key processes managed by the other Business Partners within
the team as required.
- To measure and analyse delivery against programme objectives. Use this information
to support the shaping and development of future plans and communications
strategies.
- To manage budget on behalf of your focus Sector and or Region ensuring adherence
to purchasing policies and finance processes. Agree any changes to budget with
appropriate senior managers. Work in conjunction with the delegated person who acts
as the team's purchase requisitioner.
- To be a key member of the team and to proactively contribute to its success. To
actively raise standards and develop knowledge, both as an individual and with others.
To coach communications best practice where applicable.
