Job Role

Purpose of Role: To obtain, analyze, distill, and disseminate effective and usable competitive intelligence for multiple internal stakeholders that include product management, regional marketing/sales, innovations, and the SMT.

Key Responsibilities: Research, obtain, and analyze large amounts of data on products and market segments. Distill and communicate data that is effective for target audience. Must have key understanding that effective competitive intelligence analysis communicated/provided for product management, sales, or SMT are not the same.

Typical Day: Research and gather market intelligence on key global competitors. Analyze intelligence, identify trends, identify key competitor movements, and competitive differentiators. Constant pro-active verbal and written
Candidates for the Competitive Intelligence Analyst position must have experience with providing distilled and effective market analysis in narrative and presentation format for a sales/marketing audience. You must be comfortable with presenting to an executive-level audience and must have the ability to protectively communicate with team members of all levels within multiple departments.
A background of working within a technology or technically focused business is important so that detailed and complex information can be presented in a clear and concise way.
