Compliance Monitoring Manager Basildon £25k - £35k International Financial Data Services (IFDS UK) are the leading provider of administration and IT services to UK retail investment clients and their customers.
The main accountability of the role is to provide an efficient and effective compliance service and to promote high ethical standards within IFDS and to assist the company in meeting its regulatory obligations.
Main duties include:
ØConduct thorough and comprehensive compliance monitoring of all aspects of the IFDS business, encompassing a review of the effectiveness and adequacy of departmental procedures ØHighlight any areas of weakness or risk to Management ØAdvice remedial action where necessary ØConduct well documented substantive checking to highlight and support findings ØProduce timely, accurate and value added reporting ØUndertake compliance projects and ad hoc additional tasks as required
You will have an understanding of the rules and regulations and how they apply to the IFDS business of the FSA, HMRC, relevant UK legislation and IFDS standards and policies. Familiarity with auditing systems of internal control and assessing risk is essential as is the understanding of the Financial Services Industry. Good knowledge of FSA regulatory environment (Essential) Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering legislation is essential.
IAQ or equivalent, or commitment to study for IAQ or equivalent is desirable.
