An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Conference and Events Sales Manager to join an elegant 4* deluxe hotel situated in the heart of Covent Garden. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Sales and liaise with the Conference and Banqueting Operations Manager on a daily basis.
Duties will include:
* Establishing key relationships with key business travel agents and corporate clients
* Monitoring the peaks and troughs with the conference office and taking appropriate action
* Ensuring the Conference and Banqueting facilities are sold to the best advantage of the hotel
* Ensuring quality service to internal and external customers
* Representing the hotel at key trade shows, road shows and work shops to obtain new leads
* Building and maintaining extensive knowledge of competitor hotels
* Meeting and greeting customers and entertaining prospective clients
* Reaching sales targets by making sales calls and obtaining appointments
* Gaining full product knowledge of hotel facilities
Skills required include:
* Previous experience in a similar role is essential
* Proactive sales experience
* Strong commercial awareness
* A flexible "can do" attitude
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
