Conflicts Manager
My client, an international legal practice, is currently recruiting for a Conflicts Manager to lead a team of Conflicts Assistants. The main purpose of this role will be to explore conflicts procedures within the firm and address these in a systematic way.
Full consideration must be given to conflicts issues at the outset of a client relationship and whenever instructions are received to act on a new matter. Conflicts may also arise during the course of an existing matter and so continued vigilance is required.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for the recruitment, training and development of the team, assisting with the development and implementation of new and revised processes and technology, dealing with complex conflicts resolution queries and overseeing special projects, such as conflicts checking and analysis for potential lateral hires and Group Member Firms.
Applicants will need a law degree or equivalent, substantial previous experience working in a commercial/law environment and possess effective management skills, with the ability to manage workflows and delegate as appropriate. Problem solving skills and excellent communication and IT skills are prerequisite.
In return this role offers a basic salary of circa £60,000.
