Our client wishes to add a Construction Manager to the thriving retail construction division of their regional contracting business. With a group turnover of over £300m, the company holds a strong reputation as one of the regions most successful construction contractor across the build, refurbishment, MOD and retail sectors.
Working on new build and large extensions to food superstores, you must have experience doing exactly this, for a main contractor, and ideally be South West based. The role will involve extensive travel (project dependent) and some staying away.
As Construction Manager, you will be managing on site operational activity, including the Site Manager(s), and report into the Project or Contracts Manager. You will be responsible for man management, health and safety and some client Interaction. Projects will be very fast place, and will involve technical elements such as mez floors.
Projects could include; new build stores, large extensions, refurbishments or refresh roll outs, and vary in value from £3 - £25m. Candidates MUST have new build experience on FOOD RETAIL SUPERSTORES (i.e Tesco,Sainsburys, ASDA) with refurbishment experience a minor advantage on top.
