My client has is a privately owned group of independent hospitals based in Manchester. They currently have an opportunity for an experience Consultant Psychiatrist to join their team offering 10 sessions.
Working across two of their hospitals you will work alongside another Consultant Psychiatrist and a multi-disciplinary team. You will conduct 1-2-1 and group sessions. In addition, you will be accountable for ward rounds, tribunals and preparing reports.
The hospitals:
One is registered to provide care for adults with a primary diagnosis of mental health who may be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.
The second hospital accepts patients that are Informal or Detained suffering with Learning Disabilities as the primary diagnosis, but who may present with mental illnesses, challenging behaviours etc.
The candidate:
You will be Section 12 (2) approved. Ideally you will be registered with the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Individuals with a strong background in Learning and Disabilities are of particular interest, although those from Mental Health or other settings may be considered. Experience within a Forensic setting is of particular interest also.
The role offers a high degree of flexibility both in terms of hours and its contractual elements, and our client is open to proposals.
