Our client is a leading provider of supply chain and logistics to conflict zones and they are urgently seeking to employ a Controls Cost Consultant.
You wil coordinate and implement key controls, applying highly complex principles of internal control and accounting to ensure quality cost and financial information prepared to support the business.
You will be tasked with: o Review of existing internal and financial controls - assessing weaknesses and recommending improvements where required.
o Logical access, Segregation of duties, Spreadsheet inventory and standards, Change control, Physical security and periodic reviews, Role base security
o Determining areas of risk and ensuring satisfactory controls are in place to eliminate or minimize such exposure
o Create and maintain testing programs for all controls by providing written documentation around annual and periodic checks to certify that internal controls are in place
o Track progress of documentation including annual and periodic review and update of process flow charts, review and update of key controls and financial reporting risks, coordination of walkthroughs
o Detailed review of all inter-company and 3rd Party for aviation costs and ensure that charges are sufficient to cover fixed, variable and agreed proportion of overheads
o Applies principles of cost accounting to conduct studies which provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems and make recommendations for improvement
o Develops financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis. Interprets financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
o Reviews costs and performs cost benefit analysis related to projects
o Regular review and variance analysis of cost to contribute to the Aviation profit model.
o Travel to Afghanistan, Africa and any other areas of operation as necessary
Skills
o Preferably previous experience in a controls role - also audit background and used to evaluating internal controls, evaluating controls and identifying areas of weakness.
o Experience in costing.
o Experience with similar accounting software
