We are currently recruiting suitable qualified and experienced staff to work as Cover Supervisors on a supply basis in our schools across Blackburn and Darwen in September. The Cover Supervisor role includes amongst other things the following duties. To supervise whole classes during the absence of teachers, responding to questions, assist pupils to undertake set activities and stay on task and maintain order. To support individuals and groups of pupils to enable access to learning when not supervising whole classes. To act as an examination invigilator, when required. To provide administrative support for the school when not required for cover or invigilation. It is highly desirable that applicants should be aware of the policies and procedures relating to inclusion, child protection, assertive discipline, health, safety and security, equal opportunities and SEN, confidentially and data protection Applications are welcome from Graduates who have significant experience of working as Teaching Assistants in either Secondary or SEN schools, suitably qualified HLTAs and those who have Education based qualifications. This role would be subject to an Enhanced CRB Disclosure.
