This is an excellent opportunity to for an Italian & ideally French speaking credit controller to join one of the most prestigious international luxury goods brands.
Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will be working as part of a large multi-lingual finance department of more than 14 people. As credit controller, you will be responsible for a portfolio of French & Italian key accounts, including department stores and high street fashion chains.
In a fast moving role, you will maximise cash collection through pro-active and reactive collection techniques. It will be important to control aged debt by maintaining close contact with your customers and building good relationships. You will also deal directly with internal colleagues (such as sales or warehousing) to resolve issues that may delaying invoice payment, e.g. short shipments, price differences, damaged stock and so on.
Other features of the role:
• Identify customer disputes and ensure resolution
• Identify potential bad debts and recommend provisions
• Process applications for new customer accounts
• Monitor customer accounts and credit limits.
• Ensure that payments are being entered on the system efficiently and correctly allocated.
• Record and control returned goods, issuing credit notes as required
• Monitor exceeded credit limits, and release “credit held” orders once the credit limit has been reviewed or query resolved.
Person:
This role will suit a well organised, outgoing, and relationship-building credit controller with good accounts receivable administration skills. You need to be happy working in a fast-paced and exciting environment. You must have solid business to business credit control experience, with fluent Italian and ideally French too.
We will consider suitable people with from any industry background, as long as they can demonstrate at least 18 months continuous employment as a credit controller in a busy environment.
Experience of using SAP and any additional languages will be an advantage.
Salary & Benefits
Salary £24,000 to £28,000 plus benefits including:
