URS is a global multidisciplinary consultancy. We are looking for a Curator to run our technical library at Faslane, near Helensburgh from 1st February 2010.

Duties include cataloguing and organising documents in various formats, user training and managing reference enquiries.

You will hold an appropriate qualification and will have experience of information management. Knowledge of AACR2, LCSH and MARC/Dublin Core is essential. A minimum of three years UK residency and a valid UK driving licence are required.

The main purpose of the role is to make the right information available to the right person at the right time in order to promote the delivery of effective estate services in support of customer operational output. The curator is responsible for collecting, organising and managing documentation in Area West Library (at Faslane), and several site collections in Area West. The position assists the Area West Professional Advisor and the Technical Librarian in providing a Technical Library Service to the Regional Prime Contract (Scotland) Team.
