Data Strategy Consultant
Contract My client is currently undertaking a programme to establish a Data Centre and Hosting Strategy with a solution comprised of Broadridge and Goldensource. They currently have requirements for a Data Strategy Expert to be responsible for vendor management, licence management, licence cost savings, vendor displacement and data hierarchy management.- For instrument reference data, list all the existing vendor licences globally, speak to Data Manager and Vendor Management team to collate this information
- Define the data sources for each asset class understanding the business requirement for data and ensure these are incorporated in the agreed data sources
- Recommendations on licensing based on existing requirements highlighting any licence implications as a result of strategic services based on existing data vendor strategy
- Roadmap to highlight vendor cost and savings going forward including any interim implications to costs
- Define the optimum way to leverage the existing licensing position
- Define the data hierarchy to be used within the solution
- Highlight any realistic displacement of vendors including timelines.
As such applicants should hold experience of the Securities industry gained with either a fund management, brokerage house, custodian or investment bank. Strong Data Management skills with banking/equities experience, technical knowledge of data vendor feeds eg Reuters, RDSE, RDSS, FTI EXSHARE, Bloomberg etc. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and applying proven methodologies, standards and tools in the preparation of Business Requirement Definitions, UAT systems conversion and implementations.
