Our client is seeking someone for temporary cover to provide research support, information, data, plans and graphical support to the Communities First Team and the wider Communities First programme within Cardiff.
EXPERIENCE;
o A successful record of producing practical information from social data
o Experience of providing reports from detailed briefs, set by others
o Experience of Communities First issues.
o Experience of using national, local and council data to undertake specific projects on varying scales
o Experience of drafting reports of analysis to set timescales.
o Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
o Excellent Presentational and Multimedia skills in displaying data
o Awareness of sources of social data and the ability to identify new sources
o Experience of producing mapping information, using Geographical Information Systems
o Experience of working with community groups and providing advice on producing social data
o An understanding of the locally relevant social issues facing Communities First schemes.
o Ability to produce easily understood outputs for non-expert use
DESIRABLE
o An understanding of funding issues and potential sources of finance for associated work in the community
o Experience in using Desk Top Publishing and Web design software
o Experience of using a GIS package utilising spatial data
o An ability to understand and deliver on work briefs set by external bodies
o An ability to develop links with potential funding bodies
o Ability to provide basic ICT training
