Database Administrator
This well known travel industry organisation is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join their busy team. Specailising in tourism this company provide excellent room to grow within a team and are based in their new Central London Office.
As a Database Administrator you will undertake an array of tasks & responsibilities:
*Be responsible for systems analysis and design of business applications
*Understand and support the concepts of Wide Area Networks and Windows client software
*Support Finance, HR and Marketing systems
*Have experience of software development with particular focus on database driven systems
*In depth knowledge of SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008 product sets including day management of production systems including SQL Server Enterprise Manager, Query Analyser, SQL Reporting Services etc
*Experience of Database performance and query optimisation
*Understanding of setting up and managing SQL/Server replication
*Fluent Transact SQL developer of queries, stored procedures, triggers, DTS packages
*Installation and deployment of databases utilising SQL scripts
*Creation of and maintenance of database backup plans
*Creating installation scripts for new database applications and/or upgrades
*Manage database security
*Database performance tuning
*Data Modelling- creating the physical data model and modifying the model
*Work on Microsoft Client/Server products

*Salary to £32k

Database Administrator Skill attributes:
*Excellent Analytical and problem solving skills
*Experience of Software Installations, upgrades and multi-user system operation
*Good written and oral communication
*Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
*Understanding of Windows office Systems, Active Directory and DB Applications
*Good knowledge of networking
*ITIL Foundation qualification desirable
*Awareness of the travel and tourism industry desirable
