Delivery Manager
Summary
Our client is looking for a talented Delivery Manager to join their award winning company in Nottingham. You will be responsible for delivering project activities in line with the customer's expectations - ensuring delivery meets time, cost and quality aspirations.
Last year the business grew by 18% and this year they are looking to achieve a 20% growth in turnover. Having started the business in 2003, their software is now installed by major clients such as Tesco, Co-oP, B&Q and due to a restructure and boom in orders, there is now a fantastic opportunity for you to join the team.
Roles and Responsibilities.
Reporting directly to the Account Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of delivery of allocated project activities, whilst ensuring costs are managed and aspired margin targets are met.
The responsibilities include the management of customer expectations, detailed requirements analysis, definition of project scope, project planning and implementation, formulation of project costs and bid information, together with implementation activities such as close liaison with the internal development team, through to testing, structured release and customer handover.
The job holder will also take responsibility for liaising with, and managing all 3rd party supplier contacts as necessary as well key internal stakeholders such as the allocated developers and the business service functions.
You must also be able to show strong leadership attributes as you will have between 2-5 people under your control depending on the project team size.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have will have a minimum of 4 years working experience in the management and delivery of IT projects and be qualified to Prince 2 standard or equivalent. In order to be successful in the role you need to demonstrate strong analytic and solution design capabilities as a significant part of the role centres on the conversion of customer requirements into working and configurable solutions
Strong technical knowledge is essential with the job holder being familiar with internet technologies, database structure and the principles of information and knowledge management.
We are looking for someone who is an all-rounder and as such, you may have worked in a small software development company/team which required you to get truly involved in every aspect of the software development lifecycle.
