With the working week involving sleep-ins and shift cover, the schemes cater for young adults with learning disabilities, so in some cases this is their first home. We need the candidate to lead on recommendations from SP audits and be knowledgeable about QAF and POVA. The role will also involve skills teaching and dealing with possible incidents, some of which may be POVA-related. The role will involve care management, support planning, risk assessments etc and empowering clients to ultimately achieve independent living.

There is NO housing management involved in this role - we are looking for somebody who has a good understanding staff management issues and someone who specifically has a background of working with clients who have learning disabilities, be this within a housing, charity, care or private environment. Knowledge of the QAF is very important and we are looking for a candidate who has experience of deputising for a service at Level B.

If you have experience of managing staff in a supported living environment for clients with learning disabilities, and are able to start immediately for a minimum of 3 months, please apply now!!
