Deputy Manager required for large residential care home in Hertfordshire.
Residential Deputy Manager required to work as part of a large organisation in the South East at their established Hertfordshire home. Working as part of the senior management team you will be responsible for leading the shift whilst on duty and ensuring that junior members of staff are supervised adequately in their duties. In addition you will be required to deal with care planning and risk assessment as well as maintaining clinical standards within the home and ensuring that service users health needs are met.
The home specialises in older people with dementia and in addition to the above duties you will be required to cover in the absence of the manager as well as dealing with on call duties whilst the manager is away. You will be required to work on the floor on a rota basis over 40 hours per week.
Applicants should have previously held team leader or managerial responsibilities and will hold the NVQ3 in care. In addition, they require previous residential care experience and applicants should have a good working knowledge of the Care Standards Act, National Minimum Standards and also CQC legislation. In return they offer a competitive salary of up to £27000 per annum as well as additional benefits such as training, study leave and a good annual leave allowance.
