independent training provider, our client is an expert in creating career
prospects for young people. Offering a range of qualifications, top quality
training and excellent support, they’ve already helped thousands of people. An
opportunity has now arisen for a Deputy Sector Manager to join their team.
In this role you will join the Business Technology team that’s
responsible for delivering business administration, customer service, IT and
passenger vehicle training throughout the area.
Working with the Sector
Manager, you will be tasked with helping to manage the department, develop team
members and source new contracts across the North West.
As the Deputy Sector
Manager you will:
- Support the Sector Manager to develop and facilitate
training programmes
- Contribute to the internal verification procedures of
the programmes
- Assist the Sector Manager with planning and preparing
external verification visits
- Represent the company and promote good
relations with employers, governmental agencies etc
- Support the Sector
Manager to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programmes
- Ensure
contract requirements (learner recruitment targets, retention & achievement
rates) are met
- Monitor learner progression and ensure that accurate and
up-to-date records are kept
- Bring in new business by engaging with new and
existing employers
- Work to strict deadlines
To be considered for
this position you must hold the Vocational Assessors Award A1 (D32/33). An
Internal Verifier Award V1 (D34) would be beneficial.
As a Deputy Sector
Manager you should also be a good communicator with a flexible approach, an
organised way of working and a desire to build on your skills. Some travel to
client sites, mainly in Blackpool and occasionally Preston, will be required; therefore you must have a full
driving licence and your own transport.
