Deputy Support Manager
Day Care Centre for Learning Disabilities
Based Bromsgrove
Upto £22,500 basic + benefits

Based in the centre of Bromsgrove, our client runs a day care centre that caters for adults with mental and physical learning disabilities. They currently require the above role to provide support and co-ordinate activities with the service users.
Primarily the activities include:
*Menu Planning/Healthy eating
*Personal safety
*Personal awareness/hygiene
*Computer/keyboard skills
*Art/Music therapy
*Literacy/Numeracy (money management)
*Snoezelen therapy
*Training sessions to obtain accredited qualifications
*Facilitate advocacy services
As well as activities to encourage individuals to integrate into the local community:
*Swimming
*Bowling
*Local walks to places of interest
*Shopping for personal items, food and clothing
*Cinema
*Day trips
*Theatre outings
You will be responsible for working with the 7 to 10 members of staff and ensure that the service users receive the best possible attention, variety and opportunities to fulfill their development.
To qualify you must have experience of working with people with learning disabilities. Ideally this will be within a day care centre environment. You will have the ability to react to situations effectively as well as the ability to co-ordinate and manage effectively.
